About the Darwin Fish

The famous Darwin Fish image was created by Chris Gilman in California in the early 1990s. He and his team trademarked the design and founded Evolution Design, a Texas-based company that produced various Darwin Fish products, including the iconic black-and-chrome car plaque.

In 2016, through a business relationship with Evolution Design, the original copyright/trademark holder of the Darwin Fish logo design, Ring of Fire Enterprises acquired the intellectual property rights, trademark, and inventory for the Darwin Fish logo design and Evolution Design brand.
